Over-churched, Under-fed: Organizational Missions of Religious Food Provision is a multi-sited ethnography of the impact of religious participation in food security issues in Brazos County, TX. The project utilizes participant-observation methods to gather field notes about the nine partner agencies (grocery pantries) of the Brazos Valley Food Bank in the county, all of which are religiously affiliated. This information is gathered in order to analyze the religious meaning held by the volunteers, and the material impact that their operations have on community food security.
